Writing the Script, Day 2: May 9, 2019

Focus: How do we write a script to develop real and imagined events?

1. Warming up: Listening to an opening clip from a "real" documentary

• Write down the words and phrases that turn this penguin story into a HUMAN story.

2. Transforming your timeline into your script

• Start your script in the year farthest to the right on your timeline; in other words, pretend like you're in the future.

3. Please make sure that by the end of class, you have completed at least half of your script.

HW:

1. TOMORROW: Finish the first half of your script.

2. THURSDAY, MAY 16: 

• Mockumentaries are due by the beginning of class.

• All revised / make-up work for English 10 is due 4:00. No course work may be submitted after this deadline.

3. WEDNESDAY, MAY 22, 9:30 am: Our final exam period
